Matt (matt9991) spotted what appears to be a large female RES living in a pond in Christchurch Park, Ipswich although some friends have told him that there have been at least 2 living there for over a year. Matt managed to get a nice video clip of the turtle from a couple of angles, zooming quite far in. There was limited access due to ongoing redevelopment and a strain of algae know as cyanobacteria present which can be poisonous. We are hoping this doesn't affect the turtle(s) tho and it should be cleared up fairly quickly.
