Donations to Neil Bidle
Since getting my first 2 terrapins, they have fascinated me, and shortly after joining the original Terrapin Tank just over a year ago, I took in my first rehome. It was a small chinese softshell that was being rehomed due to agressiveness towards its tankmates, and since then I have taken in over 80 others. Unfortunately, there are far more people needing to pass on their terrapins than there are able to take them in, so I still have the vast majority of them.
I need to run several setups, so between the lighting, filtration, and feeding (not counting the heating!) there is quite some expenditure. Add to that replacement parts, alterations and additions to setups, vet visits, and anything else they need, it gets pretty expensive. Until I thought about donations, I'd never really sat and figured it out, but have now made up a spreadsheet (view it HERE) which even only taking the basics into account is still £710 per year.
While this isn't exactly going to break the bank on its own, with having to work as much as I can to make ends meet, plus finding time to keep them all cared for, clean, and checked it's not always as easy as I'd like. I'm not going to be making money myself off this, every penny that Paypal doesn't take off me (I don't earn enough to be a charity apparently!) will be going to the terrapins whether it be their food, lighting, spares, or improvements to their setups.
Any and every donation very gratefully accepted
